    Just returned from a cross-country fishing trip with this rod, and I'm super impressed! Pros: 1) It's lightweight, adding little to my luggage. 2) It's sturdy, pulling in a 10lb fish with no issues. 3) The expand/collapse feature, which was my biggest concern, turned out to be fine. It expands easily and stays in place. 4) The accessories are a decent starter set.

    I bought this for easy travel on a plane for a trip with inland fishing. It packed easily in a standard backpack and went through TSA without issues. I'm hard on my gear, but this rod has survived multiple uses by ages 11 and up without problems. The only issue is the plastic clamp popping off, which can cause the rod to extend on its own.

    I wanted a portable pole for easy carrying, and this one is good, but I had a few issues. I had to buy new line because the included one kept breaking, leading to lost hooks and lures. Also, it collapses at the wrong times-the sections don't tighten enough. It works, but I'll likely switch to a regular pole. I'm struggling to get a good cast, though I'm not sure why. I'm using 40lb braided line with weights.

    Just went fishing this morning and used this set for the first time. After about an hour, the top guide slipped off. After over 40 years of fishing, I've never had this happen. Instead of returning it, I'll superglue it back on. I won't buy this brand again.

    I bought this for a Florida vacation, but the handle broke and cut my hand, and the fish wasn't even big. I bought the same rod for my dad for Father's Day, and now I'm upset. It ruined my trip. Returning it for a refund.

    I've had this rod since April and wanted to test its durability before feedbacking. After 10+ uses and multiple catches, it's passed the test! Caught 6 spotted bass in Lake Shasta, and the rod held up perfectly. It won't collapse while in use like other telescopic rods. The reel is especially smooth and durable.

    It's a decent traveling rod, but more of a one-time use combo. Don't expect big results. The body feels cheaply made, and the handle on the reel can come loose. The included line tangles easily, so I recommend replacing it. Good for beginners and worth what we paid.

We've already used it once, and it performed excellently! Lightweight, high-quality, and very easy for her to handle. It would be a great choice for beginners as well.
