    This inflatable PFD offers excellent value for its quality. It's Chinese-made and resembles the pricey SOSpenders, but it's still of good quality.

    Just a heads up, this life jacket is not US Coast Guard approved, which is a requirement for all life jackets on motorized vessels. Additionally, it needs to be worn and not stowed to meet these requirements, unlike the traditional type II orange jackets that can be stored on board. The life jacket is lightweight but the plastic shell around the neck feels quite stiff. The initial value seemed great, but unfortunately, I'll have to return it.

    This life jacket is incredibly comfortable and lightweight. Unlike other life jackets I've worn, it's not bulky at all. You forget you're even wearing it! Thankfully, I haven't had to inflate it yet (fingers crossed), but I'm confident that it would be easy to use if needed.

    Unfortunately, the life jacket failed to automatically inflate when my kayak capsized. I had trouble finding the pull cord, and as a weak swimmer, it was a terrifying experience struggling to reach the shore. I cannot recommend relying on this PFD.

    I was looking for a simple vest that wouldn't inflate upon contact with water, but unfortunately, this one didn't meet my expectations. I'll be returning it. Just a heads up for other buyers: unless the item is damaged, you have to pay for the return shipping yourself (to CA). Also, the seller should have marked the package as "fragile" since it contains a CO2 cylinder. The box arrived slightly crushed.

    We bought these for our small fishing boat, but due to weather and other commitments, we haven't been able to go fishing recently. Even when we finally get the chance, hopefully, we'll never have to find out how well they work. I mean...you'll only know if they truly work if you end up falling in the water or your boat sinks, right?
