Feels good once you get the hang of it, as opposed to the smaller more available battery testers. For instance, running a double A battery through tends to either drop the battery or you have to read the gauge at an awkward angle. You have to keep constant pressure on the red slide tab (as these are not spring loaded) in order to keep the battery from dropping / falling. The smaller testers are oriented where the battery will not fall out while reading the gauge (regardless of whether or not they are spring loaded). I wanted a bigger one that wasnt spring loaded, hence I chose this one.

I bought this battery tester for my husband. He says it works really well and helps keep track of good or bad batteries. This will test several different sizes of batteries and is simple to read and use. This seems to be well constructed and study. This will definitely come in handy when we think something is not working due to the batteries when it is really something else. We will throw away way less good batteries this way.

It works. This is from a cheap guy who thinks there is plenty of battery life left in batteries found in 5 year old flashlights. Apparently I never learn. Anyway, this has saved a couple of camping trips and fishing expeditions from being extremely disappointing. Also works on button batteries and 9V smoke alarm batteries as well.
